About Me

I’m really glad you’re here. Truly.

I’m Freya. Or at least, that’s the name I use here. Freya is a pseudonym, chosen to keep a little part of my life private while still allowing me to write honestly.

I’m a writer, eclectic witch, empath with a dark edge, and a forever student of life. I live somewhere over the rainbow, in a tiny village in the middle of nowhere, somewhere in a Scandinavian country, which suits me far more than I ever expected.

I share my life with a dog who very much runs the house and keeps me grounded when the world feels too loud (which is always).

This blog is my digital sanctuary. A space where I can be honest, curious, messy, thoughtful, and real. A place to share the things I love, the things I learn, and the parts of life that shape me without shrinking myself.

I live with chronic pain and my own mental health struggles, experiences that have deeply influenced the way I see the world. I consider myself a mental health advocate, though I am not a licensed mental health professional and would never pretend to be one. I simply love educating myself, understanding the mind, and sharing what I learn in the hope that it may help someone navigating struggles similar to my own.

I am deeply drawn to psychology and self-education. I believe that understanding our minds, our patterns, and our wounds can help us live with more compassion, for ourselves and for others. What I learn, I share through honest reflections, lived experiences, and observations.

I have rebuilt myself more times than I can count, and I write from that place. From lived experience, with all its mess, lessons, setbacks, and small victories intact. Some days are heavier than others, and I do not always practise what I write about perfectly. I keep showing up, learning, and trying. This space is not about perfection. It is about persistence.

I practise Eclectic Witchcraft, with a strong pull toward green and kitchen magic.
Nature keeps me sane. Plants are my allies, herbs are my teachers, and the turning of the seasons helps quiet my mind when it spins too fast.

Wisteria Witch is a little bit of everything, with a hint of magic woven through it. Here I share my craft, thoughts on mental health and healing, recipes because I absolutely love cooking, creative projects, spirituality, nature, and whatever else sparks my curiosity. I have never been particularly good at fitting into one box, so I decided my blog does not have to either.

I have been blogging since the early 2000s, back when the internet was full of pixel gifs and chaotic layouts. I have never loved being on camera, but writing has always been my way of making sense of the world. It is how I process, heal, remember, and connect.

So if you are here for witchy thoughts, emotional honesty, mental health, recipes, creativity, or simply a space that feels human and real, I am glad you found your way here. Maybe you needed it.

Thank you for being here. It means more than you know.

Blessed be β™‘
